Three bass players met a flute in 2004, creating a striking contrast between the deep, resonant rumbles of the basses and the fluid, elegant tones of the flute.

These four musicians challenged and inspired one another, pushing their instruments to the cutting edge of improvisation. The music took unexpected directions in the moment, with each player contributing brilliant, spontaneous compositions in ever-changing combinations. The result was exciting, dynamic, and at times breathtaking or even hilarious, drawing both performers and audiences into the power of pure musical spontaneity.

Performances

Despite its uniqueness, the ensemble performed only once in its original form. However, a revival took place in 2014 during a three-day residency at Sowieso (Berlin), featuring bassists Meinrad Kneer, Klaus Kürvers, and Adam Pultz Melbye.
