CD ‘Le Coq Rouge/Baba Fururu’

Mark Lotz

Le Coq Rouge/Baba Fururu

This album brings together three Cuban Batá drums and the jazz quintet Lotz Of Music in a fusion, marking Mark Lotz’s first collaboration with Cuban master drummer Javier Campos Martinez. It serves as the inaugural release in the Yoruba Trilogy, part of Lotz’s Cuban Roots Project, dedicated to exploring Afro-Cuban religious folklore music.

Originally included in the 2-CD box Le Coq Rouge (Via records), this album was released alongside CD1 (now titled Le Coq Rouge/D.J.S.), which highlights the quintet’s work.
