Som Ressoa is a new collaboration between four distinctive voices from the European jazz scene. Their programme explores sound as a space for depth, resonance, and connection. The project features the young Lisbon-based vibraphonist Duarte Ventura — a striking new voice and emerging talent rapidly gaining attention within the Portuguese and international jazz scene.
“Som Ressoa” — sound that resonates — reflects the essence of this project: music that invites a journey into a spiritual experience of sound itself — rooted in attention and emotional depth. What emerges is a collective sound shaped by listening, restraint, and a shared sensitivity to space and time. The music unfolds through refined melodies, subtle minimalism, and carefully shaped electronic layers. The combination of flutes and vibraphone — extended with electronics — creates an ethereal and transparent sonic landscape, where sound is allowed to breathe, linger, and resonate.
The project will be presented in its Dutch premiere at the Jazz on the Sofa Festival on 1 November 2026.
Som Ressoa —an intimate, resonant, and quietly transformative ‘Song Of Resonance’.
